Gwendolyn Thomas

Gwendolyn is a resistance exercise physiologist who has held faculty positions at Yale, Syracuse, and most recently Penn State University.  Her work has focused on how resistance exercise can be used to reregulate metabolic and endocrine function in those with type 1 and type 2 diabetes, breast cancer survivors, and aging populations living with chronic disease.  Her work aims to enhance our understanding of how resistance exercise may benefit individuals at risk for obesity-related chronic disease throughout their lifespan.
